Where is the festival located?
On the banks of the Roanoke River in Plymouth, NC
How can I access the festival schedule?
Is there a rain date?
No, the festival goes on Rain or Shine!
Can I use a debit/credit card?
Many vendors accept cards.
Is the festival friendly to all ages?
Absolutely! We are family friendly!
Where do I park?
There is a map here on the website. Various sites throughout the event. There is a short walk from most designated parking areas. Signs will designate parking areas (see map) Shuttle buses will be available adjacent to McDonalds and in front of Roses on hwy 64.
Is handicap parking available?
Yes. (see map) At the former BB&T parking Lot located at Washington and Main Streets
Are pets allowed?
Yes, must be leashed
Are there hotel accommodations in the area?
Are there stroller or wheelchair rentals?
No
What is prohibited at the event?
Alcohol, Drugs, Weapons, Unleashed Pets, Skateboards, Bicycles, Golf Carts, ATV, Drones
How do I volunteer?
Log onto Eventeny.com and choose event, you will see Volunteer applications or call 252-793-6627 for assistance
How can I become a vendor?
Log onto Eventeny.com and choose event, you will see Food and Retail Vendor applications or call 252-793-6627 for assistance or log onto NC Bear Fest and look at bottom of Vendor page for most recent application. Applications typically come out in February.
At The Festival FAQ’s
What should I direct my child to do if we get separated during the festival?
Go to information tent located in the center of town, find a vollunteer identified by safety green tee shirts or find a law enforcement officer
Are lifejackets required on the water rides?
Yes, and they are provided
Do you provide a festival map?
Yes, on our website Nationalbearfest.com (see map) and there are maps on large kiosks in the street, at the Bear Museum, and information booth.
Are there phone charging stations?
Yes, Near Port O’ Plymouth Museum
Can I smoke/vape at the festival?
Yes, please be considerate of other festival attendees. No designated smoking areas
Is the event free?
Admission is free, fireworks and many entertainment activities are free. But some activities have a fee associated with them. Check Website for Activities.
What kind of medical services are available?
On site ambulance and EMT services provided by Washington County EMS
