Can You Out Run A Bear? Race

Test Your Speed Against The Wild

The Can You Out Run A Bear? Race is one of the most fun and playful attractions at the Black Bear Festival. This free 40-yard dash invites festival visitors of all ages to test their speed and see what wild animal they might outrun.

Held in the Kid’s Zone, this activity lets participants run or walk down the short test track while festival volunteers measure their speed. After the dash, runners receive a sticker showing which wild animal they outran, making it a favorite stop for families and children during the festival.
